The SERANO® Creative Product Collection is locally manufactured in Bloemfontein, Free State, South Africa, in a suburb called Pellissier (pronounced “Palace-see-r”).

The key components of the sauces are onion, together with various ratios of vinegar, lemon juice, sugar, salt, and garlic. Some people might be sensitive to onion or garlic or would like to be aware of the sugar content, especially if you have dietary restrictions or allergies. Our products contain no preservatives and are gluten free.

The shelf life is approximately one year. The packed-date and the sell-by-date is one year (12 months) but the sauces may last longer than that. It is like a jam or preserve, since it contains mixed ratios of sugar and vinegar, both act as a natural preservative. We recommend that once you open the product, use it within 6 months. No need for refrigeration.

The SERANO® Chilli Sauce Collection has six distinctly unique flavours with varied heat levels. Depending on how daring you are, choose from our heat range #1 to #9. The heat levels are indicated on the label and included in the description of each product. Our product with the lowest heat is the Delicate Sweet Chilli Sauce, with a heat level of #1 . Our hottest product, is the Habanero Fruity Sweet Chilli Sauce has a heat level of #9.

Depending on the type of product you have selected, we recommend mixing it with a milder condiment like mayonnaise or plain yoghurt to adjust the spiciness. Our product range are made from recipes that control the pungency and consistency, but depending on the fresh produce we purchase per crop, the pungency of each batch may differ.

The product range is a taste adventure and the sauces can be used in salsa or salad dressing, used as a dip, enjoyed with cheese and wine, or snacks and beer. The product with the highest sugar content is Charming Sweet, and the product with the least amount of sugar is Spicy Hot.
